We started in Tallinn, Estonia, went on to St. Petersburg, Russia. Then Helsinki, Finland (visiting Temppeliaukio Rock Church and to Hvitträsk, the home of architect Eliel Saarinen in nearby Kirkkonummi); Riga, Latvia; Klaipeda, Lithuania (with a visit to nearby Palanga); Gdansk, Poland; and Rostock, Germany (where we visited the botanical garden of the University of Rostock).
A few of these images (those starting with “339d”) are from David Stafford, but the bulk is from one of the cameras of Helen Eddy. As a photographer, she loves to portray the beauty she sees. As as artist, she loves to experiment with the digital effects available to her as she sorts through her work. A couple of the notable effects you’ll find in fourteen of these images are "kaleidoscope" and a warping tool called “tiny planet” (you’ll see why it is called that).
Enjoy!
